Relocating to Greenville, SC? A Local Team to Guide Your Move to the Upstate
Moving to a new area means choosing a town, a neighborhood and a home, often from hundreds of miles away. The Moore Team helps you get to know Greenville, Spartanburg and the Upstate before you arrive, so you can buy with confidence.

Who We Help
Relocation Help for Every Kind of Move
Job Transfers and New Hires
You have a start date and a short window to find a home. We plan the search around your timeline and your commute.
Remote Workers and Families
You can live anywhere and you chose the Upstate. We help you compare towns, neighborhoods and home styles side by side.
Retirees and Downsizers
You want less upkeep and more time outdoors. We help you weigh single-level living, low-maintenance communities and access to the things you enjoy.
How It Works
Your Move, Step by Step
- Discovery call. We talk through your timeline, budget, work location and what daily life should look like.
- Area match. We narrow the Upstate down to the towns and neighborhoods that fit, and send homes to review.
- Financing plan. You connect with a lender of your choice for pre-approval so you are ready to act.
- Tours on your schedule. We plan a focused visit, and we can walk homes on live video when you cannot be here.
- Offer and negotiation. We review comparable sales with you, write your offer and negotiate on your behalf.
- Inspections and closing. We help coordinate inspections, your lender and the closing attorney through closing day.
The Moore Team does not provide mortgage lending, legal or tax advice.

Before You Move
Things to Think About Early
Commute and Daily Routes
Drive times change a lot between towns and times of day. Tell us where you will work and we will focus the search around it.
Schools
School assignments depend on the exact address. Confirm zoning directly with the school district before you make an offer.
Taxes and Insurance
Property taxes and insurance vary by county and by home. Ask your lender and insurance agent for estimates on the homes you like.
New Construction or Resale
New homes can take months to finish, while resale homes can close sooner. Your timeline often decides which fits best.
Rent First or Buy Now
Renting gives you time to learn the area. Buying right away avoids a second move. We will talk through both.
Timing Two Homes
If you are selling a home elsewhere, the two closings need to line up. We help you plan dates with your agent there.

Questions
Relocation FAQs
Can I buy a home in Greenville before I move?
Yes. Many relocating buyers do most of their search from a distance, with live video walkthroughs and electronic signatures, and then visit once to confirm their choice. In South Carolina an attorney handles the closing, so ask your closing attorney early about options if you cannot attend in person.
How early should I start planning?
Start as soon as you know a move is likely. An early call lets us learn what you need and watch the market for you. If you are considering new construction, allow extra time because build schedules can run several months.
Should I rent first or buy right away?
It depends on your timeline and how well you know the area. Renting gives you time to learn the towns. Buying right away avoids moving twice. We will talk through both options with you.
Can you help me sell my home in another state?
We are licensed in South Carolina, so we cannot list a home in another state. We can work with your agent there to line up the timing of both closings.
What does it cost to work with The Moore Team as a buyer?
Before we tour homes together, we review a written buyer agreement with you that explains our services and how we are paid, so there are no surprises.
Which areas do you cover?
We work across Greenville, Spartanburg and the surrounding Upstate, including Greer, Simpsonville, Easley, Travelers Rest, Anderson and Clemson.
